Vitamix Ascent ( A2500 Vs. A3300 ) Blender Differences: These two powerful blenders from Vitamix are the latest in blending technology. Both models are Bluetooth® enabled, allowing you to unlock a huge selection of additional blending modes, and over 600 recipes. You can use this APP on your smartphone or ipad.

Both blenders have the powerful 2.2 horsepower motor, BPA free plastic containers, self detect technology, and an industry leading 10 year warranty. A rotary dial on both blenders allows you to manually select up to 10 speeds for blending. These blenders are part of the new Ascent Series. Both models are powerful enough to make Hot Soup.

The main differences between the Vitamix A2500 and are: The A2500 has traditional physical controls, while the A3300 has touch controls. The 2500 has 3 preset blending programs (Smoothie, Soup, Frozen Dessert), while the A3300 has a programmable countdown timer which allows you to simulate a preset mode. The Vitamix A3300 has an Autotimer feature that you can set to blend recipes and then stop automatically.

The Bottom Line: Both blenders from the motor, blades, and container are identical. The A2500 is a more traditional blender with more physical controls and offers 3 presets (on the 10 speed manual power dial). Instead of presets the A3300 has a coundown timer that you set and will shut off the blender when done. The A3300 also has more touch controls than the A3500.

Both models come with the Vitamix APP and Bluetooth® connectivity to your smarphone or Tablet, connected via Bluetooth®. So, if you use the APP with the A2500 or A3300, you will have access to all standard presets as well as those for dry chopping, nut butters, cold skim milk foam, salad dressings, spice grinding, baby food, marinades, and more. You get the 17 presets on the APP with either model, and 600 recipes to choose from.

The Vitamix A2500 has 10 power levels with 3 Presets

While both models have a visible timer, only the A3300 has a programmable count-down timer that shuts off the blender when done. This in effect acts like a variable preset, and is easily available via touch controls. The A3300 also has touch controls for adjusting speed and pulse mixing. The A2500 has two preset mixing settings, and manual controls for pulse mixing. The A2500 is the same price as the A3300. So if you want manual controls, 3 presets, but without the countdown timer, get the A2500. If you want touch controls, and countdown timer, get the A3300.

Self detect technology: The base of blender is able to detect the size of the container attached and automatically adjust program settings and blending times automatically. This feature is installed on both models.
