Life Fitness (T3 Vs. T5) Track Treadmill Comparison: Life Fitness is a producer of high end gym quality heavier duty treadmills. Both treadmills compared here are the latest models. They both are heavy duty non-folding treadmills, made for runners and taller users, with a wider and longer running belt, and is stable for heavier users. Common to both models are high power motors, Grip & Heart Telemetry, 15% incline, and 12mph top speed. Both models are Bluetooth enabled using the Track console and can hook up to Apps with your phone or tablet.


The main differences between the Life Fitness (T3 Vs. T5) are: The main difference between the two models are that the T5 has the latest Track Console 2.0, which gives you more workout programs (17 Vs. 15), and has the ability to connect to Apple and Samsung Galaxy watches, as well as smartphones and tablets. You can use a variety of fitness APPs, as both consoles are Bluetooth enabled.

Fixed models (The T3 & T5) tend to be more stable (especially for runners and heavier users). Both models have top features for runners, such as 15% incline grade, 12mph max speed, and a wide and long running track (22 x 60 inches).

Both have the deluxe Track console (T3 gets the 1.0 version), while the (T5 gets the 2.0 version). The Life Fitness T5 has 17 workouts Vs. 15 on the T3. Both provide heart telemetry & pulse grips, and can connect to APPs using your phone or tablet. These treadmills are also available with the cheaper GO console, but have fewer features. The Life Fitness Treadmills also have high consumer ratings, and you can expect a solid gym quality treadmill that won’t move around when you are running. Life Fitness T3 Vs. T5 Console Comparison: The T5 uses the latest Track Connect 2.0 Console, while the T3 uses the Track Connect 1.0 version. The T5 gives you 17 workout programs Vs. 15 on the T3. The T5 console gives you connectivity to Apple and Samsung Galaxy smart watches. Both models can connect to fitness Apps using Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet (iPad).

The only differences are is the T3 has a 15% incline Vs. 12% on the F3. The T3 goes faster at 12mph Vs. 10mph on the F3. Both models have 15 built-in workout programs and are backlit (ideal for dimly lit rooms). Both consoles are Bluetooth® enabled , and a tablet/smartphone holder. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.

Bottom Line: Both models are fixed and do not fold for maximum stability. Both are great for taller runners with a longer and wider running deck (22×62-inch). Both have a strong 3.0 HP motor, the T5 is a heavier treadmill and will support user weights of (400 lbs. vs 350lbs.) on the T3. The Track Connect 2.0 console on the T5 provides 17 workout programs, while the T3 provides 15 workouts. Both provide an incline grade of (15%) and speed of (12mph).

Either model can also use the Go Console which is cheaper but has less features. (You can order this on the Life Fitness website). Life Fitness has a long reputation of heavy duty long lasting treadmills in the Gym. Both heavy duty are gym quality treadmills that can take the weight of heavier users and runners and remain stable. The T5 model exclusively has an adjustable FlexDeck 3 with settings to stimulate preferred running terrain. The T5 model is substantially more expensive than the T3.

FlexDeck 3 Settings: Available on the Life T5 Treadmill. The 3 settings will simulate running on grass, running on a track, or running on pavement.

Connect to Fitness Apps: Built-in Bluetooth will allow you to connect to Smartphones and Tablets (like an iPad). Once connected you can use APPs like: Life Fitness Connect, Kinomap™, Rouvy™, Zwift™, GymTrakr, Apple Health and other apps. The T5 also allows you to smart watches such as Apple or Samsung Galaxy.
