The main differences between the Life Fitness (F3 Vs. T5) are: The main difference between the two models are that the F3 is a folding model, while the T5 is a fixed non folding model. Fixed models tend to be a tad more stable., but if you need one to fold up, get the F3 model. The other physical differences is that the T5 has a 15% incline grade and 12mph max speed Vs. 12% grade and 10 mph on the F3. Another major difference is the running track; the T3 has a larger 22×60-inch running deck Vs. 20×55 on the F3. With a heavier frame, the T5 can accommodate a user weight of 400 lbs vs. 350 lbs. on the F3.
The T5 has the newer Life Track 2.0 Connect Console which gives you 17 built-in programs (15 on the F3). Both have heart telemetry & pulse grips, and can connect to APPs using your phone or tablet. These treadmills are also available with the cheaper GO console, but have fewer features. The Life Fitness Treadmills also have high consumer ratings, and you can expect a solid treadmill that won’t move around when you are running. Life Fitness F3 Vs. T5 Console Comparison: The Life Fitness T5 has the newer Track connect console 2.0, which gives you (17 workout programs Vs. 15). Other differences are the Life T5 has a 15% incline Vs. 12% on the F3. The T5 goes faster at 12mph Vs. 10mph on the F3. The backlit display on both models is ideal for dimly lit rooms. Both consoles are Bluetooth® enabled , and a tablet/smartphone holder, allowing you to use a tablet or smartphone to link up to fitness and other APPs. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.
Bottom Line (F3 Vs. T5): The F3 model is foldable, so offers easier storage possibilities. The T5 is non-foldable with a heavier more stable frame, making it ideal for running plus it has a longer and wider running deck (22×62-inch Vs. 20×55). Both have a strong 3.0 HP motor, the T5 has a heavier frame and can support a higher user weight (400 lbs Vs. 350 lbs.), For Runners and taller users, the T5’s longer and wider running belt and heavier stabler frame may be preferred. The T5 has a slightly higher incline grade (15%) and slightly faster speed (12mph) than the F3. The T5 has the newer Track Connect 2.0 console with more workout programs and connectivity added for smart watches. Either model can also use the Go Console which is cheaper but has less features.
