The main differences between the SOLE F80 Vs. the F85 are: The F85 is heavier duty, and has a larger 15.6-inch color HD touchscreen built-in with Wifi and Apps and screen mirroring. The F80 has a smaller 10.1 inch touchscreen vs. the larger 15.6-inch touchscreen on the F85. The F85 is superior to the F80 in several ways. The F85 has a heavier duty motor (4.0 HP vs. 3.50HP), higher Maximum User weight (400lbs. vs. 350lbs), and wider running track. Another key difference is the F85 has a negative decline feature (up to -6) which simulates walking downhill. Both models come with an excellent warranty (better than most treadmills). SOLE F80 Vs. F85 Console Comparison: The 15.6-inch color HD touchscreen of the F85 is larger than the F80 10.1-inch touchscreen , and is capable of running fitness Apps, as well as Youtube and Netflix. Both consoles are backlit (ideal for dimly lit rooms). Both consoles are Bluetooth® enabled with WiFi capability. The F85 also enables screen mirroring from your phone or tablet. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.
Bottom Line: The Sole F85 is a heavier duty folding treadmill, that offers a larger 4.0 HP motor, higher user weight, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen with built-in APPS and Wifi capable. Only the F85 has a decline grades that simulates walking or running downhill and activates other muscle groups. Both treadmills have a running belt that is 22-inches (wider than most treadmills). Although more expensive, we favor the F85. Both have excellent warranties.
The Sole models have higher consumer ratings and higher max user weight rating than most treadmills. Either treadmill will provide a solid workout for all users, including taller users (wide and long running belt), and is great for runners.
