Vitamix (E310 Vs. A2500) Blender Differences: These two powerful blenders are a matchup between the Explorian Series (entry level) and the Ascent Series (newest technology). Both blenders have a powerful motor, BPA free plastic containers, and excellent warranties. A rotary dial on both blenders allows you to manually select up to 10 speeds for blending.

The main differences between the Vitamix E310 and A2500 are: The main differences are that the A2500 Ascent has wireless Bluetooth® with a Vitamix Blending APP which allows you access 17 preset and timed programs, and you get over 600 blending recipes. Just use your smartphone or tablet to control your blender. The A2500 also has a larger mixing container (64oz Vs. 48oz), a longer warranty (10 years vs. 5 years), 3 preset programs right on the control dial, and a more powerful motor. The Bottom Line: Both of the blenders compared here have powerful motors, and the ability to blend smoothies, and even make hot soup. The A2500 offers many more features, including timed presets (not available on the Explorian E310). There are 3 presets on the control dial (Smoothies, Hot Soup, Frozen Desserts), and 17 presets on the smartphone APP. These presets turn off the blending when done, and vary the speed depending on the blending mode.

The A2500 Ascent Series offers a larger blending container (64oz), a motor with 10% more power, and a much longer warranty (10 years). Self detect technology (detects size of container) is only available on the A2500, and will automatically adjust blending presets. If you are blending just for yourself, the 48oz container of the E310 may be more than adequate. The E310 is also substantially cheaper. As both models are highly rated, you cannot go wrong with either model.
