These models come with extra accessories that allow you to clean your entire home and car. Both models are highly effective on both carpets and hard floors, as well as pet hair. Both models also come with a motorized pet tool for smaller areas, stairs, and car interiors. These models are quieter than previous versions.
The Main differences between the Dyson V10 Vs. the V11 are: The V11 has a larger battery and with its V11 motor provides 23% higher suction at MAX. The battery life, especially with motorized tools is better on the V11, giving you longer run times. The biggest upgrade is the new V11 LCD status screen, that shows how much cleaning time you have, which mode you are in, charging status, and alerts to clogs and other events.
The V11 has added a new dynamic load sensor to the Motorized Floor Tool, which works with the new AUTO mode to automatically adjust power for different types of floors. The V11 weighs more than the V10 due to the bigger battery. See the comparison chart below of key features.

Bottom Line Dyson Cordless V10 Vs. V11: The V11 (Torque Drive Model) has many improvements over the V10 such as larger battery (longer runtime), increased suction, new AUTO mode with load sensor, and the new LCD status screen.
The status screen on the V11 is really useful in that it tells you how much time is left, lets you know what mode you are in, show battery% when charging, and alerts you to clogs and dirty filters. The V10 Absolute comes with the extra fluffy hard floor tool, which is optional on the V11. Both models do a great job on all flooring surfaces, but the V11 has the edge with the new LCD status screen, bigger battery, and AUTO mode.
Battery Life V10 Vs. V11: The V11 Torque Drive vacuum has a larger capacity battery (38% higher capacity). This translates into better battery life, especially with motorized floor tools.
Performance on Hard Floors: Both models come with a multi-floor brushroll which works well on hard floors.
Only the V10 Absolute comes with an extra dedicated “Fluffy” hard floor tool. This motorized brushroll has a very soft brushroll that is capable of trapping both fine dust, and large particles (like Cheerios), all in one pass.
Performance on Carpets: We have tested both models on carpets, and find that they both do a great job of vacuuming and grooming the carpet. We give a slight edge to the V11, with a more powerful brushroll. Both models have a 3 position suction control on the floor tool.
What makes Dyson Cordless Vacs Unique- Main Differences: Dyson has re-invented the cordless vacuum and has been an innovator and pathfinder in creating new technology. Dyson is known for strong, powerful, suction using new digital V7, V8, V10 and now V11 motors. One area that Dyson stands out is its tools. Dyson uses Nylon and Carbon Fibers on its main floor tool, to vacuum both carpets and hard floors.
Recently Dyson introduced its new Fluffy hard floor tool, capable of vacuuming both large and tiny particles at the same time (Cheerios and flour). Dyson uses high impact polycarbonate plastics (same as used in crash helmets and riot shields) for greater durability. The build quality is outstanding, especially when you compare Dyson Cordless to cheap knockoffs and imitators.
