This allows you to sit much closer to the TV without seeing the individual pixels. By sitting closer, you will have an immersive movie theater experience. Sony has over 10 years of experience with cinema 4K Projectors, as most theaters today have a Sony projector installed. We previewed the X850C series at CES 2015, and the picture was outstanding. This TV is also a 3D TV and uses active 3D glasses (sold separately).
