A 4K Ultra HD TV provides 3840 x 2160 resolution, which is four times the resolution of Full HD. This allows you to sit closer to a larger TV and get the immersive movie theater experience. Most movie theaters now use a 4K projector, so in effect you will have movie theater resolution in the home. You can enjoy current HD shows & movies upscaled to 4K today, and Native 4K programs as they become available.

Smart-Review Commentary: For 2020, The huge 75-inch UN75TU8000 4K TV is Samsung’s seventh generation of Flat LED 4K Smart TVs powered by Tizen™. This model does not have all the bells and whistles of the higher end models, but has many advanced features that make is a good buy. Multiple Voice Assistants will assist you when asking questions or controlling the TV. HDR (high dynamic range) will improve picture quality for those 4K sources that provide HDR. 4K Ultra HD resolution will give you 8 megapixels of screen, versus only 2 megapixels in regular HD. 4K Ultra HD is the same resolution as the movie theater, and will give you a more immersive experience, as the pixels are 4 times smaller, and you can sit much closer to the TV. Native 4K content is just emerging. Native 4K Blu-ray players have been introduced. Netflix and Amazon already have 4K content and more is on the way.

The TU8000 Series comes with some of the latest 4K standards: including HDMI 2.0a, ATSC/ClearQAM TV Tuner, and HEVC (h.265) / VP9 decoding decoder built-in.
