NordicTrack S22i Vs. Echelon EX5-S Exercise Studio Bike Comparison: These two studio bikes are both designed for Studio classes at home. Both have large immersive screens that can swivel for off-bike workouts. Both provide live and on demand workouts by subscribing to their workout services. Both bikes have silent maintentance free magnetic resistance. Heart Telemetry through Bluetooth is provided on both bikes.
The NordicTrack bike is designed more like a Pelaton bike with a large 22-inch HD touchscreen, front mounted flywheel, and connectivity to the internet to unlock up to 16,000 workout programs.
NordicTrack: iFit with 16,000 workout programs, live workouts & Google Maps, LIVE Resistance Control, incline/decline, and the screen can swivel so you can workout off the bike. A 30 day iFit membership is included with the S22i Bike. You can flip the screen away from the bike and use it for training videos – yoga, pilates, cardio.
The main differences between the Echelon EX5-S and NordicTrack S22i are: The main difference between these models are the large NordicTrack adds a 22-inch HD touchscreen, and Bluetooth connectivity to iFit which unlocks 16,000 workouts (many more than Echelon), iFit Coach, and Google Maps to ride around the world. 30 days free iFit membership is included. This is similar to Pelaton bikes. You also get 3 lb. dumbbells for cross training exercises.
The Echelon EX5-S Smart Connect Bike is an indoor cycling bike that has about the same size large touchscreen as the NordicTrack, but the bike did not get as high reviews from consumers on both the bike and the Online classes and the APP. The NordicTrack S22i has a 22-inch HD Touchscreen (same size as a Pelaton bike) to view live and recorded workouts. Nordictrack gives you a 30 trial to iFit, while Echelon gives you 30 days to their Echelon Premier which is more limited than iFit. NordicTrack S22i Vs. Echelon EX5-S Console Comparison: The Consoles are about the same size and mostly screen. Both are HD touchscreens about 22-inches in size. The large screens give you a more immersive experience when using the iFit or Echelon workouts, which is similar to a Pelaton bike.
Bottom Line: NordicTrack S22i Vs. NordicTrack S22i: The main difference between the models is that NordicTrac is using iFit for classes and gives you a 30 days membership while Echelon (30 day) uses its own proprietary workouts that seems to be more limited than iFit. Only the Nordictrac has incline & decline capability. Reviews seem to favor the Nordictrack over the Echelon. If you are looking for a highly rated bike with online classes and the ability to ride around the world then the S22i by NordicTrack which works like a Pelaton bike is going to be your choice.
