Schwinn IC2 Vs. Schwinn IC3 Indoor Cycling Bike Comparison: These two cycling bikes are well built, but basic indoor cycling bikes. The IC3 unit is a cut above as it is more heavy duty. Both bikes have front mounted flywheels for stability, and use traditional wool felt pads for friction resistance. Heart Telemetry is provided only on the IC3 bike. Schwinn IC2 Vs. IC3 Console Comparison: The Consoles are similar with LCD displays, with the IC3 Console having Heart telemetry built-in, which is not in the IC2 version.

The IC2 console gives a single readout of one of the parameters, while the IC3 console gives multiple readouts at the same time. Readout parameters include speed, RPM, distance, time and calories.

Schwinn IC3: The main difference between the models is the Schwinn IC3 is a heavier duty bike, that weighs more, has a heavier flywheel for stable ride, and can handle a heavier rider (up to 300 lbs.). The IC3 also allows you to move the seat horizontally (Fore/Aft), while the IC2 can only move vertically. The IC3 has a 3 part crank system and superior pedals. Both models use wool felt friction pads, which must be replaced as they wear out. The IC3 has a longer warranty. Although the IC3 is more expensive, we believe it is the better buy given stronger build, better LCD console, and heart telemetry.
