Sunny SF-B1709 Vs. Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling Bike Comparison: These two cycling bikes are well built exercise machines. Both bikes have quality built frames to stand up to the rigors of hours of use and have silent, maintenance free magnetic resistance. Both models can adjust the seat Fore and Aft for a comfortable fit. Sunny Health & Fitness is rather new to the fitness scene, while Schwinn has been around since 1895.

The Schwinn IC4 bike is a connected bike that is designed to use the Pelaton APP, Explore the World APP and other connected apps, by using your own tablet (iPad for Android).

The main differences between the Sunny SF-B1709 and Schwinn IC4 are: The main difference between these models is that the Sunny SF-B1709 has a rear mounted flywheel, versus the front mounted one on the Schwinn. The Schwinn IC4 has built-in Bluetooth® and can use APPs with your smartphone or tablet. Both bikes get excellent consumer ratings.

In Schwinn’s advantage, it has a much more attractive console with color readouts of workout data. The Schwinn IC4 has connectivity to APPs such as the Pelaton APP and the Around the World APPs. The Schwinn also has two 3 lb. dumbbells for cross training. Schwinn’s warranty is much longer than the Sunny Health SF-B1709 warranty. Sunny SF-B1709 vs. Schwinn IC4 Console Comparison: The Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1709 bike has a basic LCD console that reads out workout data and pulse data. The Schwinn Console is backlit with an attractive display, and can connect to your tablet to interact and run APPs from Pelaton, Explore the World, Zwift, and more. You can track your Time, Calories, Distance, Speed, RPM, Pulse, and more.

The Schwinn IC4 also has built-in Bluetooth® and the bike will connect to heart telemetry with the included wireless armband, the Sunny bike uses pulse grips for heart data.

A built-in USB port on the Schwinn IC4 will allow you to charge or power your iPad or tablet while you workout.


Bottom Line Sunny SF-B1709 Vs. Schwinn IC4: The main difference between the models that the Schwinn bike has a more sophisticated LCD console that will allow integration with fitness APPs, such as Pelaton. The Sunny Bike has a more basic console. The Sunny Bike has a rear mounted flywheel, which keeps sweat off, while the Schwinn has a traditional front mounted flywheel. Both bikes are solidly built and will give you a great workout. The Schwinn IC4 provides connectivity to your tablet to connect to the Pelaton APP, Zwift, Explore the World, and more. The Schwinn sells for a fraction of the cost of a Pelaton bike, yet you can still use their app (with subscription).

We feel the Schwinn IC4 is a great value with magnetic resistance and with connectivity to popular workout APPs. The Sunny bike is substantially cheaper, so if you just want a basic bike with magnetic resistance, that should work out well for you. Both are great bikes for cycling. The Schwinn warranty on the IC4 bike is much longer than the Sunny SF-B1709.
