SOLE F80 Vs. Proform Pro 5000 Treadmill Comparison: SOLE and Proform are leaders in both lower and higher end treadmills. Both treadmills compared here are the latest models. They both are heavy duty folding treadmills for runners and taller users. Common to both models are high power motors, built-in speakers & fan, Grip & Heart Telemetry, long running Deck, up to 12 MPH, and 15% powered incline.

The main differences between the SOLE F80 and Proform Pro 5000 are: The Proform has many more features than the Sole F80. These include 50 built-in programs (only 10 on the SOLE). The Proform 5000 has a heavier duty motor 3.75HP, and has a wider running track (22 vs 20 inches wide). While both have bluetooth and APP, the Nordictrack has a 10-inch color HD touchscreen built-in.

The SOLE has limited options with its APP (basically tracking workout data, but no interactive workouts), and has a monochrome 9-inch LCD screen. The Proform APP allows for iFIT with Access to 16,000 iFit on demand workouts, iFit Coach, and access to google maps on the HD touchscreen. The Proform 5000 comes with a free 1 year iFit membership. iFit Coach provides interactive personal training. Only the Proform has a 3% decline, which simulates downhill running. The SOLE on its favor has a heavier max weight at 350 lbs. The Sole also has higher consumer ratings. Below is a comparison chart of the differences between the two treadmill models.

SOLE F80 console

The SOLE F80 Treadmill has a 9-inch monochrome LCD screen, and 10 built-in workout programs.

The Proform Pro 5000 Console features a 10-inch HD touchscreen with iFit and 50 built-in workouts.

SOLE F80 Vs. Proform Pro 5000 Console Comparison: The 10-inch color HD touchscreen of the Proform is superior to the SOLE’s 9-inch monochrome screen, and is capable of running iFit for thousands of running programs, interactive training, iFit Coach, google maps, and more. The SOLE F80 has only 10 built-in programs, the Proform has 50. Both consoles are backlit (ideal for dimly lit rooms). Both consoles are Bluetooth® and Wifi enabled with APP, but the SOLE APP does not have the iFit type features. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.

Bottom Line: The Proform Pro 5000 offers a larger 3.75 HP motor, a wider track (22-inches), and a 10-inch touchscreen with iFit. A free 1 year membership is included. The Proform treadmill also has 3% decline, which simulates downhill running. The SOLE F80 is about $50 cheaper than the Proform Pro 5000. The Sole model has higher consumer ratings and higher max user weight rating. Either treadmill will provide a solid workout for all users, including taller users (wide and long running belt), and is great for runners.

**Also look at The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 treadmill which has identical specs to the Proform 5000, but is a commercial model (built to last). The NordicTrack has much higher consumer ratings, and has won our BEST of 2020 award for treadmills.
