Samsung Q80B Vs. QN90B QLED 4K TVs (Differences): Samsung is a leader in 4K Ultra HD TVs. 4K provides 4x the resolution of HDTVs, the same resolution as movie theaters, but in your home. Both models have the QLED quantum dot technology for brighter colors, Native 120Hz, Powerful Processor, 60 watt sound systems, Dual LED backlight, built-in WiFi, voice control, Apple AirPlay® 2, and a backlight with local dimming. Both are 2022 models.

The main differences between the Samsung Q80B and Q90B are: The main difference between the Q80B and QN90B is the backlight technology. While both have a full array backlight, the QN90B has a superior technology called Mini LED (NEO QLED) as its backlighting and has better local dimming for blacker blacks in dark rooms. Full Array backlights are brighter and provide a more uniform picture, providing a better HDR (High Dynamic Range) and viewing experience.

The QN90B has better HDR (High Dynamic Range) Quantum HDR 32X vs. Quantum HDR 12X on the Q80B. The QN90B also has a feature called OTS+ (Object Tracking Sound) vs regular OTS on the Q80B, which is a sound techology that allows users to hear the sound from the position on the screen where it comes from. The QN90B has a feature called Quantum Matrix Technology (absent on the Q80B), which reduces picture blooming. The QN90B has a more powerful processor. What makes Samsung TVs Unique – Main Differences: Samsung produces 4K Ultra HD TVs with a technology called QLED which is quantum dot technology. This technology will make colors pop, with a brighter picture and is superior to its non QLED TVs. The newer NEO QLED TVs use Micro Leds for an even better uniform picture with better HDR, less blooming and blacker blacks.

Bottom Line Samsung Q80B Vs. QN90B : Both TVs have most of the same Smart TV features, such as built-in Wifi, access to APPs such as Netflix, Tizen OS, Bixby Voice Control, and can connect to Apple Airplay. The QN90B has a better full array backlight and superior HDR due to its Mini LED array. Both models have a 60 watt sound system which is far higher than the normal 20 watt system on most TVs. The only factor in favor of the Q80B is that its lower in price.

Motion Xcelerator Turbo+: This feature visually reduces the perception of residual images on the TV screen and makes the picture on the screen image appear better, without jittering. This is only available on the 2022 Q80B, and QN90B.
