The main differences between the Samsung Q60T and Q90T are: The biggest difference is the backlight. The Q60 has an edge lit backlight, while the Q80 has a full array backlight for superior brightness uniformity, and superior HDR. The Q90T has another feature called “Ultra Black” reduces screen glare from lights in the room. Another difference is the refresh rate, and how the TVs handle motion (such as high speed sports). The Q60T has a native 60Hz with Motion Rate 120 technology.
The superior Q80T has a native 120Hz and Motion Rate 240 technology. The higher refresh rate on the 80T will give you a sharper clearer picture when watching fast moving action (such as action movies & sports). The Q80T series also has a more powerful processor, the Quantum 4K, while the Q60T has the Quantum 4K Lite processor. The Q80T also has 4 HDMI ports vs. 3 on the Q60T. What makes Samsung TVs Unique – Main Differences: Samsung produces 4K Ultra HD TVs with a technology called QLED which is quantum dot technology. This technology will make colors pop, with a brighter picture and is superior to its non QLED TVs. Samsung TVs with Full Array backlights (Q80T and Q90T) will give you a brighter more uniform picture and better HDR (High Dynamic Range).
Bottom Line Samsung Q60T Vs. Q90T : Both TVs have most of the same Smart TV features, such as built-in Wifi, access to APPs such as Netflix, Tizen OS, Bixby Voice Control, and can connect to Apple Airplay. The Q90T is more feature rich, especially for watching fast action, like sports. The Q90T has Native 120Hz, and Motion Rate 240 that puts it a step up to the Q60T in this regard. For speed, the Q90 has the more powerful Quantum processor, while the Q60 has the Quantum processor LITE. The only factor in favor of the Q60T is that it is much lower in price.

Features only on the 80T and 90T Series 4K TVs:
Q Ultra Wide Viewing Angle = This feature reduces glare and enhances the color no matter what your viewing angle. This feature is only available on the Q80 and Q90 series.
Direct Full Array Dimming Technology = Fully Array Local Dimming (Fald) panels coming with different numbers of dimming zones. More is considered better. The Q90 is (16x) and Q80 (12x). Direct Full Array is a numerical index which is based on backlighting, antireflection and contrast enhancement technologies.
Full Array Local Dimming LED TV = An LED TV that is illuminated from the rear by an array of LED lights. These lights can be dimmed or turned off to give maximum contrast and picture quality. This type is superior to an edge lit dimming LED TV. These are hard to find, and much more expensive than the other types. For Samsung in 2020, only the Q80T and Q90T Series have Fully Array Dimming (FALD). The 90T has more dimming zones (96 vs. 48).
Q-Symphony Sound = The Q80T and Q90T have a larger and more powerful 60 watt sound system with multiple speakers. Q-Symphony, a new feature that will play sound from your soundbar and your TV’s speakers at the same time. The new Q80 2020 TV has speakers on the top and sides, and provides an excellent surround sound experience.
Ultra Black Filter = Only on the 90T series. This will help to prevent and suppress ambient light reflections on the TV screen.
4K AI Upscaling = This technology will take standard definition and HD high definition source material and upscale it to 4K for a sharper picture.
