Samsung Q60T Vs. Q90T QLED 4K TVs (Differences): Samsung is a leader in 4K Ultra HD TVs. 4K provides 4x the resolution of HDTVs, the same resolution as movie theaters, but in your home. These models are very similar, both have the QLED quantum dot technology for brighter colors, Bluetooth support, 4K Upscaling, built-in WiFi, voice control, Apple AirPlay® 2, and a backlight with local dimming.

The main differences between the Samsung Q60T and Q90T are: The biggest difference is the backlight. The Q60 has an edge lit backlight, while the Q80 has a full array backlight for superior brightness uniformity, and superior HDR. The Q90T has another feature called “Ultra Black” reduces screen glare from lights in the room. Another difference is the refresh rate, and how the TVs handle motion (such as high speed sports). The Q60T has a native 60Hz with Motion Rate 120 technology.

The superior Q80T has a native 120Hz and Motion Rate 240 technology. The higher refresh rate on the 80T will give you a sharper clearer picture when watching fast moving action (such as action movies & sports). The Q80T series also has a more powerful processor, the Quantum 4K, while the Q60T has the Quantum 4K Lite processor. The Q80T also has 4 HDMI ports vs. 3 on the Q60T. What makes Samsung TVs Unique – Main Differences: Samsung produces 4K Ultra HD TVs with a technology called QLED which is quantum dot technology. This technology will make colors pop, with a brighter picture and is superior to its non QLED TVs. Samsung TVs with Full Array backlights (Q80T and Q90T) will give you a brighter more uniform picture and better HDR (High Dynamic Range).

Bottom Line Samsung Q60T Vs. Q90T : Both TVs have most of the same Smart TV features, such as built-in Wifi, access to APPs such as Netflix, Tizen OS, Bixby Voice Control, and can connect to Apple Airplay. The Q90T is more feature rich, especially for watching fast action, like sports. The Q90T has Native 120Hz, and Motion Rate 240 that puts it a step up to the Q60T in this regard. For speed, the Q90 has the more powerful Quantum processor, while the Q60 has the Quantum processor LITE. The only factor in favor of the Q60T is that it is much lower in price.
