Keiser M3i Vs. Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling Bike Comparison: These two cycling bikes are well built exercise machines. The Keiser M3i is a cut above as it was designed for Studio classes at the gym, but also designed for home use, and made in the USA. Both bikes have quality built frames to stand up to the rigors of hours of use and have silent, maintenance free magnetic resistance. Heart Telemetry through Bluetooth is provided on both bikes. Both models can adjust the seat Fore and Aft for a comfortable fit.

The Schwinn IC4 bike is a connected bike that is designed to use the Pelaton APP, Explore the World APP and other connected apps, by using your own tablet (iPad for Android).

Schwinn Interactive Workouts

One of the APPs that you can run on the Schwinn IC4 Bike.

The main differences between the Keiser M3i and Schwinn IC4 are: The main difference between these models is that the Keiser M3i is a grade above the Schwinn IC4 in quality of materials (and is commercial quality) and is made in the USA. The Keiser M3i is a solid, proven, and reliable indoor cycling bike with phenomenal build quality. The Keiser has Solid steel construction and adjustable Shimano™ Pedals. The Keiser has a rear mounted flywheel, which keeps sweat from dripping on the wheel, the Schwinn has a traditional front mounted flywheel. Free M-Series APP is available, as well as other APPs to use with your smartphone or tablet.

In Schwinn’s advantage, it is solidly built and sells for less than half the cost of the Keiser. One key advantage of the Schwinn IC4 is the connectivity to APPs such as the Pelaton and Around the World APPs. The Schwinn IC4 sells for a fraction of the Pelaton bike, yet you have most of the functionality when using their APP (with subscription). The Schwinn also has two 3 lb. dumbbells for cross training. Below is a comparison chart of the differences between the two exercise bike models.

Keiser M3i vs. Schwinn IC4 Console Comparison: The Consoles are very different, with the Keiser M3i having a simple to use LCD console with Heart telemetry built-in, and limited connection to some APPs. The Schwinn Console is backlit, and can connect to your tablet to interact and run APPs from Pelaton, Explore the World, Zwift, and more.

M-SERIES CONVERTER: Keiser has an optional part that will allow you to connect to a broader line of APPs such as Zwift, Sufferfest, Pelaton, Kinomap, TrainerRoad, PainCave, FulGaz, and more.

Bottom Line Keiser M3i Vs. Schwinn IC4: The main difference between the models is the Keiser is Pro quality, made to survive the rigors of gym classes. The Keiser V-Shape Frame enables the M3i to mimic different road-bike frames and allows for riders from 4′ 10″ to 7 feet tall. The Schwinn IC4 is a well built home model, with connectivity to your tablet to connect to the Pelaton APP, Zwift, Explore the World, and more. The Schwinn sells for a fraction of the Keiser or Pelaton bikes. We feel the Schwinn IC4 is a great value with magnetic resistance and with connectivity to popular workout APPs. The Keiser though is built like a tank and will outlast most other bikes. Both are great bikes for cycling.
