Proform Pro-Series (5000 Vs. 9000) Treadmill Comparison: Proform is a leadera in both lower and higher end treadmills. The NordicTrack Pro Series 5000 and 9000 models are a cut above in quality, as is designed for home usage. Highly rated, they both are excellent heavy duty treadmills for runners and taller users.

Common to both models are high power Mach Z™ Commercial Pro Motors, 10-inch HD touchscreens, built-in speakers & fan, Bluetooth, WiFi, Heart Telemetry, many built-in programs, 22×60″ running Deck, 12 MPH, and 15% powered incline. These treadmills both have 3% decline, which is a rarer feature, simulating downhill running.

Curiously, only the Pro 5000 appears to come with a 1 year free iFit membership, unlocking up to 16,000 more workout programs and features. iFit Coach provides interactive personal training.

The main differences between the Proform Pro 5000 and 9000 are: The Pro 5000 comes with a free 1 year iFit membership (the 9000 you must purchase the first year). These two treadmills have similar specs, with the 9000 having a stronger 4.25HP motor. The Pro 9000 has 40 onboard programs (iFit not required), while the Pro 5000 actually has 50 onboard programs. The Consoles look similar, but with some cosmetic differences, but both have the 10-inch HD touchscreen. The 9000 model is several hundred dollars more than the Proform 5000. Consumer reviews slightly favor the Pro 5000 model. Below is a comparison chart of the differences between the two NordicTrack commercial treadmill models.
