The Horizon Fitness T101-5 Treadmill is a very good entry level treadmill. The quiet and smooth Horizon T101-5 treadmill features a 2.50hp motor (continuous duty) , which can reach speeds up to 10 miles per hour (in increments of 0.5 mph). The treadmill can incline between 0 (flat) to a 10 percent grade. You can easily store the Horizon T101-5 as it folds up. The exclusive FeatherLIGHT lift with two hydraulic shocks will assist you when raising and lowering the deck. Running deck area is 20″ x 55″ for running, jogging or walking.
Other features include a 3-Zone cushioned deck (provides shock absorption and support)., Sonic Surround speakers with MP3 compatibility, pulse grip heart rate monitoring, and a COOLfit workout fan (keeps you cool during your workout). The upgraded computer console allows you to monitor your time and goals, and now has built-in Bluetooth connectivity. Dedicated 10 speed and 10 incline buttons. The Horizon T101-5 has been upgraded to 40 programs. Programs include manual, steps, distance, intervals (speed, peak & endurance), and more. Features a COOLfit™ Personal Fan, Water Bottle Holder, Media shelf.

Smart-Review Commentary: The Horizon T101-5 is a good low priced entry level treadmill with many of the latest features and an excellent warranty. It is suitable for walking, running, and jogging. Since it folds up, it is ideal for areas where you can’t leave the treadmill open at all times. The FeatherLIGHT lift system makes it easy to fold up or lower the treadmill deck. The treadmill has a 2.50 continuous duty motor which is good for this price range.
The Horizon T101-5 provides a media shelf to hold your tablet or smartphone, and a USB charging port will keep it energized. With the added Bluetooth, you can stream audio from your smart device to the treadmill speakers. If you are doing very heavy running or weigh close to the maximum of 300 lbs., you may want to look at a treadmill with a 3.0hp motor and higher maximum weight capacity.
