SOLE F85 Vs. NordicTrack 2450 Treadmill Comparison: NordicTrack and SOLE are both leaders in medium and heavy duty treadmills. The SOLE F85 is a home model, while the The NordicTrack 2450 is their commercial model, which can be used at home. Highly rated, they both are excellent treadmills for runners and taller users. Common to both models are high power 4.0 HP motors, wide and long 22×60 running belt, built-in speakers & fan, Bluetooth, Heart Telemetry, and built-in programs. Both run at 12 MPH, and have a 15% powered incline.

NordicTrack commercial treadmills come with a 30 day iFit membership included. Run around the world.

The main differences between the SOLE F85 and NordicTrack Commercial 2450 are: The NordicTrack has many more features than the Sole F85. These include 50 built-in programs (only 10 on the SOLE). While both have bluetooth and APP, the Nordictrack has a large 14-inch color touchscreen built-in for interactive workouts.

The SOLE has limited options with its APP, a 10-inch monochrome LCD screen, while the NordicTrack APP allows for iFIT with Access to 16,000 iFit on demand workouts and access to google maps, and iFit coach. A far more robust system. iFit Coach provides interactive personal training. NordicTrack comes with a free 30 day iFit membership. The NordicTrack comes with a large 14-inch color touchscreen. Only the NordicTrack has a 3% decline, which simulates downhill running. The SOLE on its behalf has a heavier max weight at 400 lbs (NordicTrack may be conservative in its Max Weight rating), and lifetime motor warranty. Below is a comparison chart of the differences between the two treadmill models.

NordicTrack 2450

Sole F85 Control Console with 10-inch screen & 10 programs.

The NordicTrack 2450 features a larger 14-inch HD touchscreen with iFit and access to thousands of interactive workouts

SOLE F85 Vs. NordicTrack 2450 Console Comparison: The large 14-inch color HD touchscreen of the 2450 is superior to the SOLE’s 10-inch monochrome screen, and is capable of running iFit for thousands of running programs, interactive training, iFit Coach, google maps, and more. The SOLE F85 has only 10 built-in programs, the NordicTrack has 50. Both consoles are backlit (ideal for dimly lit rooms). Both consoles are Bluetooth® and Wifi enabled with APP, but the SOLE APP does not have the iFit type features. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.

Bottom Line: The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 treadmill has about the same physical specs as the SOLE F85, offering a large 4.0 HP motor, and wide running rack. The big difference is in the NordicTrack’s large 14-inch color touchscreen with iFit. A free 30 day iFit membership is included. The Nordictrack 2450 also has 3% decline, which simulates downhill running and is not on the SOLE. The NordicTrack 2450 is about $300 more expensive than Sole F85. Either treadmill will provide a solid workout for all users, including taller users (wide and long running belt), and is great for runners. However, we feel that the NordicTrack 2450 is a better value given the better screen, iFit capability, and decline capability.
