One of Panasonic’s latest Professional Camcorders, the AG-HMC150 Flash Memory HD Camcorder is highly rated and feature rich. Panasonic’s AVCCAM line has features usually only seen on pro camcorders that are much more costly. Pro features include: (HDMI out, SMPTE Time-Code generater/reader, date/time stamp, remote zoom, XLR inputs, Waveform and Vectorscope displays, etc.). Unlike many Professional Camcorders which record to MiniDV Tape, this camcorder records to SDHC memory cards. Also included is a fast ( f1.8- 2.8 ) 13x 28mm wide angle lens. The imaging sensor consists of three 1/3-inch CCD Progressive Imagers which can provide up 1080p of HD resolution. At full resolution the camcorder records to AVCHD records video at up 24mbps bit rate. Record from 3 and 12 hours of video (depending on the recording quality chosen) to a 32gb SDHC memory card.

The Panasonic AG-HMC150 has an HDMI Connector (output) for best quality when hooking this camcorder directly to an HDTV. Cold Accessory Shoe to add an external light or microphone. Features a 3.5-inch Wide LCD with (210,000 pixels) and an electronic viewfinder with (235,000 pixels). Built in speaker. Time Date Stamp feature enables shooting Legal Depositions or Surveillance.

Smart-Review Commentary: The Panasonic Pro AG-HMC150 camcorder is feature rich, but relatively low in cost for a professional camcorder. It is one of the lightest pro cams with three 1/3-inch imagers. One of the best features is its wide angle lens (28mm) which will allow you to get more of the scene in tight situations. The HMC150 is loaded with pro features (manual controls, XLR audio inputs, Time Stamp, Date stamp feature, and Waveform and Vectorscope displays). The Pro AG-HM150 uses cheap and available SDHC memory cards (much cheaper than P2HD cards). The Pro AG-HMC150 offers full HD 1080p at 24p and 30p frame rates.
