The compact and powerful Nikon D5000 SLR is the next SLR up from the Nikon D3000. With its DX imager, it is capable of 12.3 megapixel images. Some of the upgrades from the D3000 model include, a 720p HD movie mode, Live View, a boost in ISO to 3200, and a Vari-Angle LCD. Live View allows you to compose your pictures and movies by using the 2.7-inch LCD screen (230,000 pixels). 4.0 fps continuous shooting, Ultrasonic Dust Removal System removes dust from the sensor automatically. Active D-Lighting function which can vastly improve shadows and highlights of high-contrast scenes. D-Movie Mode with sound; record 720p HD movie clips (at 24fps). 19 Auto-exposure Scene Modes. Includes the 18-55mm optical image stabilized (VR) Lens.

Compatible with all NIKKOR AF-S and AF-I lenses that have an autofocus motor.
