The entry level Nikon D3000 SLR was one of Nikon’s best selling SLRs in 2009. The D3000 is designed for anyone who wants to take pictures without worrying about settings. Smart-Review Commentary: Nikon’s entry level D3000 is one of Nikon’s best selling SLRs. It is designed for simplicity of use. It has received excellent consumer and professional reviews for its price range. It has been upgraded (from the D60) from a 3 point to an 11 point autofocus system. This is a basic SLR and lacks some features that are on more expensive models. The D3000 does not have Live View. This SLR takes pictures only, as there is no movie mode (no SLRs in this price range have a movie mode).
