The new Canon EOS 5D Mark II is Canon’s best Full Frame digital SLR for the money. Upgraded to a full 21.1 megapixels. New HD movie mode can shoot Full 1080p HD Video at faster frame rates 1080p @30fps and 24fps (with latest firmware) (blu-ray quality) and manual exposure control. HDMI port to hookup to an HDTV. External Microphone Jack. Large high resolution 3-inch LCD screen (920,000 pixels). Fast 3.9 fps continuous shooting, Use the large LCD with the Live View Function for composition of both pictures and video. Smart-Review Commentary: For 2010, Canon’s 5D Mark II is the best full frame DSLR for the money. It has received outstanding consumer and professional reviews. Added to this model is the HD movie capture which has improved dramatically and now supports 1080p at 30 frames/second (blu-ray quality) and 24fps. Also new is an external microphone jack (for best sound) and manual exposure for videos. In the SLR mode this camera has a fast 3.9 frames/second burst mode. It also sports a durable magnesium body and 150,000 shutter cycles. Not only does this camera have more megapixels (21.1), but the light sensitivity has improved with a normal ISO up to 6400 and expandable up to ISO 25,600. The 5D has all the popular features such as, Ultrasonic Sensor cleaning and LiveView which allows you to use your LCD screen to compose your shot instead of the viewfinder. The 1080p movie mode was good enough that the Season Finale of the TV show “House” was filmed entirely with the Canon 5D mark II.
